Junior High Boys Sweep Oakley

The Junior High boys won all three games against Oakley on Tuesday November 5.  In the varsity game the final score was Ellis 35 Oakley 21.  Leading all scorers was Logan Russell with 10 points, Austin Carroll 6, Caleb Noble 6, Toby Honas 3, Talen Roland 2, Bryson Lyman 2, Gavyn Wildeman 2, Hunter Guffey 2, Mason Younger 1, and Kaishen Brack 1.  Leading all rebounders was Russel with 5, Lyman 4, Noble 4, Honas 3, and Roland 3. 

                The B team also defeated Oakley by a scored of Ellis 14 Oakley 2.  Scoring for the B team were Hunter Guffey 4, Gavyn Wildeman 3, Austin Carroll 2, Caleb Noble 2, and Chason Fabrizius 1.  Noble grabbed 3 rebounds for Ellis. 

The final score of 2 quarters of play for the C team was Ellis 8 Oakley 1.  Scoring for the C team were Tyler Bongartz 2, Ian McGuire 2, Aron Bencze 2, and Kaiden Colby 2.  Beau Brogden grabbed 3 rebounds while McGuire and Colby had 2 each.  “ I was pleased with the overall effort and are very proud of the way they played being it being the first game of the season” stated Coach Wolf.

   On Thursday November 7 the Ellis Junior High boys travelled to Phillipsburg to take on the panthers. The varsity team was defeated by Phillips by a score of Phillipsburg 52 Ellis 6.  Scoring for Ellis were Mason Younger 2, Logan Russell 2, and Gavyn Wildeman 2.  Toby Honas grabbed 7 rebounds while Bryson Lyman grabbed 6.  The team had 38 turnovers.

  The B team was defeated by Phillipsburg by a score of Phillipsburg 21 Ellis 10.  Scoring for the B team were Austin Gilbert 3, Hunter Guffey 2, Gavyn Wildeman 2, Kaiden Colby 2, and Chance Jimenez 1. Austin Carroll grabbed 8 rebounds and Toby Honas had 6.
