Ellis Jr. High Girls Basketball
Ellis vs. Plainville

The Ellis Jr. High girls basketball traveled to Plainville and left there winning both the J.V. and varsity games that were played.  In the varsity game, Ellis got a quick start leading in the first quarter seven to zero.  Ellis began putting guard pressure off and on with Plainville expanding the lead to 17 to three at the half.  Ellis continued to add to their score in the third quarter leading 24 to seven.  Ellis was able to allow some J.V. players to play some in the last quarter.  The final score of the game was Ellis 24 to Plainville 13.

Leading scorer for Ellis was Lakyn Fischer with 11 points followed by Emily Eck with eight.  Haley Schmidt added three points and Michelle Gottschalk had two.  Leading rebounder for Ellis Fischer with six boards followed by Schmidt with five.  Maddy Guffey and Trenyce Boyce each had three rebounds, Eck had two and Hannah Schiel had one.

In the J.V. game, Ellis led at the half eight to zero.  Ellis continued to build on their lead to 14 to zero at the end of the third quarter.  Plainville finally got on the score board in the fourth quarter with the ending score Ellis 22 to Plainville three.  Leading scorer for Ellis was Hannah Schiel with eight points.  Natalie Schumacher and Myah McCoy each had four points.  McKenna Kohl, Madison Gottschalk and Michelle Gottschalk each had two points.  Leading rebounder for Ellis was Kohl with eight boards.  Madison Gottschalk and Schiel had five followed by McCoy and Schumacher with four.  Toccara Boyce and Michelle Gottschalk each had two.
