38 OUT FOR HIGH SCHOOL TRACK
There are 39 boys and girls out for track this year to start the 2017 season. On the girls side there are 2 seniors, 7 juniors, 3 sophomores, and 4 freshman. For the boys there are 2 seniors, 7 juniors, 6 sophomores, and 7 freshman.
Girls that are out for track are seniors Jessica Gamez and Ashley Mattheyer. Juniors are Abby Burton, Kelsey Brack, Kaylyn Foster, Kinley Kuppetz, Sierra Pfannenstiel, Jaylinn Pfeifer, and Haley Reiter. Sophomores are Kaitlyn Lindberg, Marissa Lindberg, and Cassie Waldschmidt. Freshman are Trinity Bollig, Raeven Milbourne, Abigail Mattheyer, and Savannah Miller.
Last year Ashley Mattheyer placed 3rd in the high jump at state. She was a state qualifier in the 200m. Abby Burton placed 4th at state in the triple jump. Kelsey Brack placed 7th at state in the triple jump and placed 8th in the long jump. Haley Reiter placed 5th at state in the discus. Abby Burton, Kelsey Brack, and Ashley Mattheyer will be back in the 4 x 100m relay which placed 3rd at state. Cassie Waldschmidt, Kelsey Brack, Abby Burton, and Ashley Mattheyer will be back for the 4 x 100m relay team which was a state qualifier last year.
Boys that are out for track include seniors Taylor Beisner and Josh Smith. Juniors are Austin Carbajal, Joseph Eck, Koda Keever, Geoffrey Soneson, Dawson Sproul, Cole Swenson, and Bryce Younger. Sophomores are Kaden Armbruster, Bobby Cox, John Groff, Trey Hudson, Antonio Jones, and Logan Shaw. Freshman are Jake Eck, Coby Fischer, Noah Lohrmeyer, Austin Mattheyer, John Linch, and Mason Swenson.
Jack Wolf is the head coach and will be assisted by Craig Amrein and Jake Dreiling. Breonna North will be the manager.
