Railers Suffer Defeat Against Cardinals

On Friday, October 20th, the Ellis Railers hosted the second game of Districts against the Plainville Cardinals. The Cardinals started it off scoring a touchdown in the first quarter. Following into the second quarter the Railers scored a touchdown of their own but unfortunately couldn't keep the Cardinals from scoring. The Cardinals scored three more touchdowns leaving the score at the end of the first half 21-7, Cardinals. The Railers came back out ready to score in the third quarter. The Railers scored a touchdown, but shortly after the Cardinals scored their own touchdown. The Railers blocked the Cardinals' field goal leaving the score at the end of the third quarter 34-14, Cardinals. In the final quarter the Cardinals finished strong scoring another 13 points leaving the ending score 47-14, Cardinals. The Railers had a total of 40 carries for a total of 101 yards. The Railer defense fought strong and the Ryan Herl had the leading tackles with eight tackles the entire game. Good Luck to the Railers as they travel for their final game of Districts at Oakley against the Oakley Plainsmen.
