Railers Split in Triangular

On Tuesday, September 5th, the Lady Railer volleyball team played the Oakley Plainsmen and Stockton Tigers at home. The Railers went into the triangular with a record of 0-2 and hopes of getting their first win of the season. The Railers first played the Plainsmen battling hard to come out on top after the first set of the match with a score of 25-17. The Plainsmen would not be taken down that easily, though, coming back to win the second set 16-25. The teams went on to play a third set and the Railers pulled through winning the final set of the match 25-14. The Railers then went on to play the Stockton Tigers. The Tigers beat the Railers in two sets with scores of 11-25 and 13-25. With these games the varsity moves to a 1-3 record. The next the team will play will be on Saturday, September 9th in the LaCrosse tournament.

The Lady Railer JV team also played at home on the 5th. They started out their night against Oakley beating them in two sets with scores of 25-22 and 25-14. The Railers went on to play Stockton in their second game of the night. The team fought hard but came short both sets with scores of 22-25 and 16-25. The JV moves to a 2-5 record and will next play in the Hoistington tournament on Saturday, September 9th.
