Lady Railers Travel to Kiowa County

The Lady Railer volleyball team traveled to Kiowa County (Greensburg) on Saturday, Septemeber 23. The Railers took on Kiowa County to start off the day, they ended up losing in two 16-25 and 3-25. The stat leaders in the game were Samantha Crawford and Kaylyn Foster with 3 kills each, Rylee Werth led the team in blocks with 2, and Cassie Waldschmidt led in assits with 4 and Natalie Schoenberger with 3. Next the Lady Railers took on the Ness City Eagles, the Railers battled it out, but lost to Ness in three matches 25-21, 27-29, and 21-25. Foster led the team in kills with 7 and Abby Burton close behind with 5, Foster also led with 5 blocks and Burton with 3, Waldschmidt had 11 assists and Schoenberger had 9. For the last game of the day the Railers took on Macksville losing in two 15-25 and 20-25. Kelsey Brack led the team in kills with 4 and Crawford was right behind her with 3, Crawford led the team in blocks with 3, and Schoenberger led with 6 asssits.The JV Lady Railers placed third at the Kiowa Tournament beating Kiowa County, Ness City, and Macksville. The Lady Railers had a tough time at the Kiowa Tournament, but are hoping to redeem themselves this week on September 26th against Phillipsburg, Hill City, and Trego in Trego starting at 4:00pm, also at the Ellis Invitational on September 30th in Ellis starting at 8:00am.
