Softball Racks Up Two Against Plainville

On Monday, April 17th, EHS Softball traveled to Plainville to make up a postponed game from the start of the season. The ladies found their bats and their defense. They won the games by run-ruling Plainville 0-17 and 5-18.

Here are some highlights of the game:

Brittany Bollig had an amazing night, batting 5 for 6 with three home runs and two triples. She also pitched the first game against Plainville in a shut out walking no players and earning three strikeouts. Lindsay Augustine also racked up two home runs and Keighlee Wilken hit one herself. Natalie Schoenberger pitched the second game with four strikeouts. Lindsay Augustine caught the game and threw out 2 out of 3 attempted steals. Lexie Rome led the team in steals, going 5 for 5. Clara Crawford threw the ball from right field to home to get a runner out, as did Samantha Crawford from center field. The team overall batted 25 for 50, a .500 batting average.

The Lady Railers play next, at home, on Tuesday, April 18th against Lincoln. They will be honoring local Military past/present members, EMT, Police Department members, and Firefighters before the game starts. Be sure to come and support the team!
