EHS First Ag Discovery Day a Success!

Ellis FFA would like to thank everyone that helped us successfully run today's first Ag Discovery Day! We battled wind and weather this morning, and did our best to stay flexible while still offering time for the Ellis Elementary School Students a chance to learn and see agriculture first hand today. FFA students have worked hard to study, learn and develop educational opportunities for this day and I would say their hard work paid off! Through the generosity of parents and volunteers we were able to host over 250 young students and educate them on Tractor Safety, Kansas Wheat Crops, and Animals In Agriculture including Donkeys, Horses, Sheep, Pigs, Goats, Cattle (of all sizes), Chickens and even Honey Bees! We appreciate everyone's support and flexibility as we advocate for agriculture and awareness in a world that has grown further and further from the farm. We hope to grow this event and offer more educational events to our students of Ellis in the future. To all teacher, volunteers, animal handlers, presenters and our supporters - Thank you, we couldn't have done it without you!
