Lady Railers Pull Off Close Game

To start off the season the Lady Railers took on the Phillipsburg Panthers.Taking the court was seniors Natalie Schoenberger, Abby Burton, Kaylyn Foster, junior Cassie Waldschmidt, and freshman Grace Eck. To start out the game the Panthers made a bold statement by scoring 9 points within two minutes of the game, the Railers fired back, but were short at the half with a score of 24- 21 in favor of the Panthers. The Panthers came out strong to start the second half again, but the Railers were able to fight back and pull ahead by the end of the third quarter 35-30. The fourth quarter was a battle, but the Railers managed to keep ahold of a 5 point lead through out most of the quarter. The Railers came out with a win with the score being 48-43. The leading scorer for the railers was Kaylyn Foster with 23 and Grace Eck behind her with 12. Foster also led in rebounds with 7 and Haley Reiter followed with 6. The Lady Railers will be competing in the Castle Rock Classic in Quinter on Monday, December 4th, at 6:00 pm.
